This tour starts at Basel Badischer Bahnhof and follows the left bank of the river upstream till Kaiseraugst. We cross the Rhein over the KWA Kraftwerk and continue on the rightbank upstream till Rheinfelden. This is about 24 kms.
Return trip is either by bike again (which makes a total trip length of 48 kms), or optionally you take the boat back to Basel.

This trip starts at Basel Badischer Bahnhof and goes into direction of Germany, over Weil am Rhein and along the vinyards on the south side of the Obertüllingen hill, and following a nice path we end up in ötlingen.
From there you have a superb view over the city, the vinyards and with nice sunny weather it's one of the best places around Basel to set back and relax and enjoy a Süssmost or Schörle or a nice glass of wine.
from Ötlingen you can either continue in the direction of Burg Rötteln in the Schwarzwald, or you can go up the hill and through the forest back to Obertüllngen. Along are wide open fields, sometimes you see people with Kites or with RC model airplanes (Schwebeflugzeuge). But in the open fields with large fruit trees, which are kind of protected, you see wild birds of pray cathing mice and rabbits.
